What types of cockroaches are there?
There are many species of cockroaches worldwide. Large species such as the hissing giant cockroach of Madagascar (Gromphadorhina portentosa) and the Surinamese cockroach (Pycnoscelus surinamensis) are fortunately not found in Europe or the Netherlands. However, we do have to deal with:

These species regularly cause nuisance in homes and restaurants. The annoying thing about cockroaches is that they are very persistent when it comes to controlling them.
